The team comprising construction company Pomerleau, architecture firms ACDF* Architecture, Gensler architecture & Design Canada, and L’OEUF win the Reinventing Montréal, an international competition.

The project, Demain Montréal, will transform the former De la Commune service yard, in the borough of Ville-Marie in Montréal, into an innovative community that will re-energize the district and contribute to the fight against climate change.

Of the 15 projects originally submitted, four were shortlisted in September 2018 and the submitting teams were invited to put forward a detailed proposal for a zero-carbon project addressing the 10 challenges outlined in the call for projects. On June 19, 2019, three finalist teams presented their proposals in front of the jury and an audience of approximately 300. Following deliberations, the jury selected Demain Montréal as the winning project.
