Dundee (UK) will host a global celebratory festival showcasing the talent of young people (aged 15-24) living in UNESCO Creative Cities around the world. The festival will take place across 10 days in July 2022.
The festival invites young people to address complex global and local issues through direct, radical responses that embrace creativity and are generated through transversal collaborations.
Dundee believes that the UNESCO Creative Cities World Future Festival is a perfect platform to use culture for a global debate considering the UN’s Sustainable Development goals, led from the perspective of the generation that continues to lead and deliver change.
Dundee is now developing Programme Partners who wish to be a part of the festival.

The festival is open to creative cities across all designations; Craft and Folk Art, Design, Film, Gastronomy, Literature, Media Arts and Music.

We believe that creativity is at the heart of all things and is a force for good. By participating in cultural initiatives we believe that future generations are stronger, more flexible and embed creativity in their approach to everything they tackle.
SHAPES A FUTURE AGENDA FOR CREATIVE CITIES
The festival’s creative content will explore the themes of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Collaboratively, young people will explore those challenges and present their responses to them.
CONNECTING CITIES FROM DIFFERENT UCCN DESIGNATIONS
The festival will support young people to cross borders, explore other countries and cultures, embrace differences, celebrate commonalities and strengthen relationships.
GROWING INNOVATIVE CREATIVE COLLABOARTIONS BETWEEN YOUNG PEOPLE IN UCCN CITIES
The festival will encourage a showcase of performances and exhibitions using new, innovative and experimental approaches in technology and sustainability.
