The James Dyson Award is looking for designers who think differently to create products that work better. Engineers who follow an iterative design process. Rough and ready prototypes. Products that have a significant and practical purpose, are commercially viable, and are designed with sustainability in mind.
The James Dyson Award is open to product design, industrial design, and engineering university students – or graduates within the past 4 years – who have studied in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK or US.
Submission deadline: 20th July on www.jamesdysonaward.org
The Prize:
International winners: 30.000 Pounds (ca. 35.000 Euros) for students/team and 5.000 Pounds (ca. 5.500 Euros) for the department university.
International finalists: each 5.000 Pounds (ca. 5.500 Euros)
National winners: 2.000 Pounds (ca. 2.250 Euros)
