During WONDER Creativity Festival 2023, the most colourful visuals were projected on the Belfry of Kortrijk every night of the festival in collaboration with the Tech School from Geelong.
This year for WONDER 2024, the city hall at Kortrijk’s Grand Place is up for this challenge.
Kortrijk’s city hall was built in Gothic-Renaissance transition style in 1520. The niches in the façade contain statues of the main Counts of Flanders.
Expect an impressive creative spectacle!
The WONDER PROJECTION MAPPING visuals will be created by Digital Design & Development students from the University of Applied Sciences Howest-KASK.
The company Urban Mapping will provide the perfect technical support.
But we need you to inspire us!
Because we think it is particularly interesting to show in this way how much the UNESCO Creative Cities Network means to us all, how a collaboration with cities worldwide is possible and how the youth can play an important role in this all.
The students will be asked to create visuals about your city based on your input.
For this, please send us
- 3 inspiring images that represent your UNESCO Creative City of Design
- Short text to motivate this and in this way introduce your city (max 5 sentences)
- 3 colours your city feels connected to
Please send this to wonder@designregio-kortrijk.be
Let’s co-colour our city!
Deadline 15.09.2024.
