The Project
DESIGN IN SHOPS encourages cooperation between professional designers and shops in city centres. Such collaboration has a positive impact on the business itself, but also on the whole neighbourhood and even on the city and region.

Project Concept
40 merchants from Kortrijk are financially supported and encouraged to call on a designer. Shop holders who apply can be selected by a jury on the basis of qualitative and objective criteria. Once selected, the shop holder is introduced to 3 (international) designers. From there they can choose who they want to work with and, not unimportantly, a financial support of € 5000 can be obtained.
