Project
With the “Hack The Material” project, we set up a creative collaboration between a collective of designers and one or more companies and their materials (semi-finished products). We let the designers loose on the material to critically analyse it, pulling it out of its everyday context and incorporating it in an innovative creative setting. During this process, the designers engage with the companies to gain insights into the possibilities and qualities of the materials. As a result of the project, a creative installation emerges in which those properties and qualities clearly emerge. This installation is showcased at our WONDER creativity festival.
Mission
During the project, an interesting interaction develops between the designer and the companies, with both gaining new insights into the materials and their possibilities. The designer helps the companies take a more open creative view of their materials.
