What is it
In 2021, the City of Kobe opened “KIITO:300CAMP” on the third floor of the Design and Creative Center KOBE（KIITO）: the base for creativity and exchange for the City of Design Kobe.
KIITO:300 CAMP hosts workshops, develops creative education programs, trains personnel, and is a hub for fostering creativity that explores children’s sense of curiosity and exploration.
At KIITO:300 CAMP, we offer two permanent programs (about 60 board games to nurture creativity and craft space with lots of materials) that attract many families with children on weekends. We also hold events to nurture children’s creativity, in collaboration with creators and companies active in the Kobe area.
Good Practice
KIITO: 300CAMP is run in part by citizen volunteers, who we call “Campers”.
The Campers utilize their own areas of expertise to organize programs that nurture children’s creativity.
This shows that not only the government but also the entire city of Kobe is committed to nurturing children’s creativity.
