For its 10th edition the Biennale has invited Detroit to be its Guest of Honour. Celebrating its first year as the first and only UNESCO City of Design in the United States, Detroit is eager to show the world how the city is leveraging its legacy of creativity and innovation to generate opportunity and development.
Comprised of three independent but connected exhibitions, Detroit’s presence in France will include installations, panel discussions, music performances, a gift shop, and even a Detroit-style coffee shop serving up local delicacies. Over 60 Detroiters will attend the event to present, perform, and connect with the global design community, including everyone from city officials, to small and large design companies, to artists and urban farmers who have never travelled outside of the state.
Detroit Creative Corridor Center (DC3) and Lear Corporation invite to learn more about the people and projects involved in this ambitious exploration of Detroit, design, and the future of work.
