Shanghai Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2023 Gears Up for Full Return from March 23rd to 31st.
The fashion week will focus on environmental protection and sustainability, and featured collaboration between environmental-friendly bio-based raw material SORONA and a host of designers. Compared with nylon, SORONA requires 37 percent less oil and 50 percent less greenhouse gas emissions to manufacture.
2023 Shanghai Fashion Week works with Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok. It hosts a dedicated page on the short-video platform broadcasting fashion shows live nine hours a day. Its official website, meanwhile, offers a virtual immersive front-row experience for aspiring fashion devotees.
The main show venue has a new look, with a 3D façade that blends with the fashion week trend images, and a light show that lights up the city night sky after nightfall. There is also a series of “professional equipment” such as CNC lighting, customized show paths, and oversized multimedia screens to bring guests a unique experience of watching the show.
Since 2017, Shanghai Fashion Week has provided a one-stop ordering service platform for professional buyers from all over the country and the world. A variety of fashion exhibitions and apparel ordering fairs with the MODE exhibition as the main carrier have been spread all over the central city of Shanghai.
2023 Shanghai Fashion Week also invites women across industries such as fashion, film and television, art, music, e-sports, and architecture to share and exchange ideas.
With a focus on NRM, sustainable fashion, and women’s power, China Women’s Development Foundation, Shanghai Fashion Week, and UCCA Lab of UCCA Group will once again collaborate to collect NRM fashion photography works from the public.
