The 2025 World Design Cities Conference, organized by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, will take place from Sept 25 to 28 in Shanghai. The main venue will be in the Huangpu District, with additional events staged across the city and overseas.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of Shanghai’s designation as a UNESCO “Creative City of Design”. The conference aims to foster global collaboration in design innovation and sustainable urban development.
It will feature diverse activities, including opening ceremony, key forums including the UNESCO Creative Cities Design Forum, “Shanghai Design 100+” Exhibition home and abroad, and numerous citywide activities.
