China is one of the four ancient rug-weaving countries, and the “New Design of Chinese Traditional Rugs” project, taken over 8 months, presenting the first works of collaboration between Shanghai designers and traditional rug weavers is now on display at Elite Valley Art Museum in Shanghai.
The theme “Old rugs” is about traditional patterns with innovative design and the inheritance of the design spirit of a century ago.
The rugs showed the connections between China’s intangible cultural heritage, and traditional craftsmanship to promote the transformation and development of Chinese excellent traditional culture in a creative design.
