DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) operated by Seoul Design Foundation celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. For the past decade, DDP has been a landmark in Seoul while creating unforgettable cultural experiences. Since opening its doors on 21 March 2014, DDP has functioned as a creative cultural complex for the city, supporting businesses in the Dongdaemun area in Seoul.
DDP was once criticized for looking more like a spaceship rather than a building, but now this unique exterior is one of the reason people want to visit DDP. Ten years later, over 14 million visitors have passed through DDP’s doors, turning it into one of the most beloved destination for visitors from all over the world. To commemorate this significant milestone, DDP celebrates all year round starting with hosting the 10th anniversary special ceremony and forum last April. During the ceremony, the new slogan for DDP was unveiled to the public. The new slogan “Amazing Tomorrow” embodies Seoul’s commitment to offer extraordinary cultural experiences and to enhance the city’s competitiveness.
