a bee larvae dish that invites to further reflection
Photo: Juskani Alonso
The project Entomofagia 01 literally provides food for thought. It is a revision of traditional and ancestral feeding modes based on insects that are present in the Mexican culture. Additionally, by bringing the topic of harvesting to the table, the designers of Entomofagia 01 want to raise awareness of the exploitation of nature for food purposes. The object reconstructs the honeycomb structure of a bee hive and is designed for eating bee larvae. Due to its shape, you have to eat the larvae one by one, which imitates the process of harvesting from the wild.
