reinterpretation of the oldest Mexican utilitarian object

Photo: LUMBRE
Molcajete is the reinterpretation of a traditional mortar and pestle set, which has been part of Mexican homes since pre-Hispanic times. A wooden base that can serve as a plate for soft or toasted tortillas complements the design object made of grey stone and tzalám wood.
