a table like straight out of a fairy tale

The pedestal table Once Upon a Table, made in Saint-Etienne of rusty metal and ceramic photo inserts, is a joint project of designer Eric Jourdan and ceramist Blandine Leroudier. Clean lines and a sleek silhouette characterize the furniture. The raw metal material contrasts with the delicacy of the illustrated pottery on top of the furniture. The ceramic inlay portrays historical characters with the aim to honour female characters, but always in an artistic, cinematographic style, where they appear nostalgic, distant and afflicted – just like disappointed queens.
