bold pots changing reality

Potiche 1 | Photo: F. Maisonnasse

Potiches is, as its name suggests, a collection of six decorative hand-turned pots in enamelled faïence, thus fine tin-glazed pottery that is combined with tubes in tinted polished stainless steel. It reflects the encounter of artisanal techniques and industrial products, of ordinary pots and shiny elements. There are reflections and bold contrasts between light and dark, which create an illusion of reality.

It is a collaborative project between designer Pascaline De Glo De Besses and ceramist Elodie Bouësnard. De Glo De Besses is a free-lance product designer who also designs spaces for communities, companies and individuals, while Bouësnard runs a small earthenware production unit called “la Faïencerie”.
