a useful porcelain set for a young generation

It was keyboard shortcuts, which inspired designer Thomas Feichtner to create the Shortcut tableware for the porcelain manufacturer Augarten. The term “shortcut,” a reference to simplicity and plainness, very much contrasts to the manufacturer’s classical and highly diversified porcelain tableware.

It is supposed to be an honest, easy porcelain set to be used every day. There is one cup for both coffee and tea, one bowl for soup and salad, and a number of other likewise solutions. No piece is designed for a specific type of food or dish. The tableware rather consists of bowls and plates in various sizes – a shortcut on the keyboard of porcelain tradition.
